Functional communication activity

Who I am?
We must take into account the main objective, which is the connection with one's own
self, and invest time in our day to day interacting with ourselves. A path of continuous
learning that manages to contribute to being aware of one's own behavior and adopting self-
confidence.
In the search for their own identity, adolescents need to develop their own values, opinions
and interests. Young people need to discover what they can do and feel proud of their
achievements.

Activity, display of self-concept

Material to use within the activity

Cardboard, photos, scissors, markers, paints, glue

What is the activity about

It consists of developing an adjusted self-concept and it is essential to know oneself, in
order to develop a healthy self-esteem and achieve personal well-being. Through images
about oneself, which will collect different moments, people, situations, we will get to
investigate within ourselves in search of our own self.

Activity steps
1. Prepare the cardboard, glue, scissors and material for writing and drawing

2. “We are going to make a reflection to know ourselves, our ME is what we are
and what defines us.

3. Each of you will try to answer the question Who am I? To know how we are and
who we are, we must think about many things: what we like to do, how we are
physically, how we are, what people are important to each of us, how we were
before and how we are now. To answer these questions we are going to make a
mural with images that define us.”
4. We will ask each participant to find photos from now and from when they were
younger, where they appear doing things they like, important people, gestures that
express their way of being.
