(b) A current of 2 A is passed through a coil of resistance 75 Ω for 2
minutes.
(i) How much heat energy is produced?
(ii) How much charge is passed through the resistance? [3]
(c) (i) Two sets A and B, of three bulbs each, are glowing in two separate
rooms. When one of the bulbs in set A is fused, the other two bulbs also
cease to glow. But in set B, when one bulb fuses, the other two bulbs
continue to glow. Explain why this occurred.

(a) 40g of ice at 0°C is used to bring down the temperature of a certain mass
of water at 60°C to 10°C. Find the mass of water used.

(b) A substance is in the form of a solid at 0°C. The amount of heat added to
this substance and the temperature of the substance are plotted on the
following graph, If the specific heat capacity of the solid substance is
500 J/kg°C, find the mass of the substance from the graph . [3]
