20 kg bag

EPOCA CALCE - NHL 093 is an environmentally friendly pre-mixed mortar for

injections, based on natural hydraulic lime NHL 3,5 and high sulphate-resistant
binders designed for restoration work on historic buildings.

It has excellent mechanical and chemical compatibility with the materials present
in historic buildings, high fluidity, and low reactivity to the action of salts in masonry.
It can be applied by hand or with suitable injection machine after mixing.
INFORMATION OF USE
Average consumption 1,4 kg of binder per dm3 of fresh mortar

METHOD OF USE
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Perform the drilling using a drill with a bit diameter ranging between 15 and 25 mm. The centre distance
between the holes must range between 40 and 60 cm. The drilling should be downward at a 45° angle,
reaching at least the midpoint of the masonry wall.
The day before applying the EPOCA CALCE - NHL 093 mortar, saturate the internal structure to be
reinforced with water using the injection holes. Place plastic tubes, with a length between 30 and 40
cm and a diameter of 15 to 20 mm, in each hole for a depth of approximately 10 cm. Secure them
using fast-setting mortars.
If necessary, before proceeding with the injection of the EPOCA CALCE - NHL 093 mortar, re-point the
mortar joints using products from the EPOCA CALCE NHL line to prevent material leakage.
PREPARATION OF THE BATCH

The preparation of EPOCA CALCE - NHL 093 can be done using a mixer, drill, or manual horizontal mixer,
by adding clean water. To avoid the formation of lumps, it is recommended to make a dense mixture
(20% ± 1% water) and then gradually adjust it to the optimal consistency for individual applications
(approximately 30% ± 1% water). The product should be mixed at a low speed.

USE OF THE PRODUCTS

Insert the nozzle of the pumping machine at the plastic tubes previously installed and inject the mortar
at a pressure between 1 bar and 2.5 bars. The injection process must be performed from the bottom
upwards.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
During handling and application, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and dust masks. In case of
skin contact, wash with soap and water. If there is contact with the eyes, rinse with water and seek
medical attention if irritation persists. For safety information and guidance on the use and storage of
the product, refer to the latest Safety Data Sheet.

WARNINGS
Do not apply at ambient temperatures below +5°C or above +30°C on substrates.
Do not add cement, lime, or aggregates.
Dampen supports in warm weather.
Protect mortars from frost, high temperatures, excessive sunlight, and wind during the curing period.
Store in a dry place.
