Note

Fire dampers should be provided in all the supply air ducts and return air ducts, return air passage in the air-handling unit

room and at all floor crossings. Access door will be provided in the duct before each set of fire dampers.

Damper should be fail safe design which enables the damper to automatically assume the Closed position when the duct

temperature reaches the design temperature of the fusible link

The damper should have lowest possible pressure drop and should be selected as per approved design air flow, air velocity

and minimum pressure drop.

The blade should remain in the air stream in open position & shall allow maximum free

area to reduce pressure drop & noise in the air passage.
