Forming Adjectives from Nouns (-y)

1. By adding “y” after the noun: catch  catchy

e.g. We need to think of a catchy slogan for our campaign.

2. By doubling the ending consonant and adding “y”: mud  muddy

Remove your muddy boots before you come in, please.

3. By replacing “e” with “y”: craze  crazy

No one will support your crazy ideas.
