Section A
30 questions X 2 marks = 60 marks
16 questions x 1 mark = 16 marks
Section B
6 questions x 4 marks = 24 marks
Good time management
The exam is 2 hours long. (120 minutes)
You should therefore spend 1.2 minutes per mark.
It is best to work through Section A first, which should take
you 91 minutes.
Spend the remaining 29 minutes on Section B.
Points to remember:
Don’t get stuck on difficult questions.
If a particular question does appear difficult, move on,
and comeback to it after you have answered all the
easier questions.
Don’t time yourself for each question, but do check
every half hour that you have answered 25 marks worth
of questions.
Two minutes before the end of your time for Section A,
go back and answer all outstanding questions, even if
you have to guess.
There is no harm in guessing as there is no negative
marking in ACCA exams, so the worst that can happen is
you lose the mark.
