pack of tea is Rs. 54, 1 kg of rice is Rs. 22 and that of one dozen oranges is Rs. 24. Using
matrix multiplication method calculate individual bill of X & Y.

Q.8 The department of education runs 120 colleges and 15 universities having a strength of
300 lecturers, 100 readers and 50 professors in the universities and 5000 lecturers and
1000 readers in colleges. The monthly salary is Rs. 9000 for professors, Rs. 8000 for
readers and Rs. 5000 for lecturers. Find the monthly salary bill in the colleges and
universities using matrix multiplication., Ans. Rs. 3,30,00,000, Rs. 27,50,000.

Q.23 The sum of 3 numbers is 6. If we multiply the third number by 2 and add the first number
to the result we get 7. By adding 2nd & 3rd numbers to 3 times the first number we get 12.
