Statement of the Problem

1. What are the lived experiences of the Grade 11 learners who have lack of experience?

2. What are the difficulties of the students who have low confidence ?

3. What are the coping strategies of students used to overcome the problem?

Significant of the Study

This study focused on those students who experienced a low self-esteem with a lack of
confidence every time in school activities and performance tasks. Generally it appears that
students' self-confidence is really important and it is essential to exist in students, specifically in
Grade 11 students.

Senior High School Student

This study will benefit the learners. This will help students to understand why this is
happening and how to solve it.

Teachers

The teachers will serve as a supporter for those learners in controlling and helping
to reduce the fear of nervousness of the learners who are not motivated enough or have a lack of
experience and confidence in doing activities.

Researcher

This study will also be beneficial to the researchers. This will gain more knowledge
and ideas about having a lack of confidence who are experiencing and struggling on it.
Scope and Delimitations

This study focused on how lack of confidence impacts the academic performance of
Senior High School learners in Notre Dame of Parang Inc. It will identify and examine the
student’s performance and achievement. The researcher must have 10 respondents. The study
will be conducted inside of the school and this may take 2 days to study through survey and
interview procedures.

The study is delimited only to Senior High School learners who enrolled and used to study at
Notre Dame of Parang Inc. The data method used to include interviews and surveys will assess
and identify the experiences and challenges. This will also include how they coped and the
strategies they have to overcome the struggles.

Definition of Terms

FDVDIn experiencing lack of confidence, it refers to a state where an

individual lacks trust or faith in their own abilities, leading to feelings of self-doubt, inadequacy
or uncertainty. Experiencing a lack of confidence can manifest in various ways and impact
individuals differently. Here are definitions of terms related to experiencing a lack of confidence
based on the provided sources:

Academic Challenges- this is refers to the problems encountered by the learners

Senior High School Learners- this is refers to the persons who are enrolled and studying at
Notre Dame of Parang

Strategies- these refers to the strategies and methods that could help the learners to overcome
the challenges and difficulties that they encountered.
