Hello Friends, Today, I'm going to talk about a fantastic state
called Kerala. It's a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast,
has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, that's super colorful and filled with cool things. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. The capital city of Kerala,is Thiruvananthapuram and people speak the language called Malayalam. Imagine a land with lots of coconut trees and the smell of yummy spices like cardamom and pepper. People here are super friendly and love celebrating festivals, especially one called Onam,where everyone comes together to enjoy delicious food, dance, and make beautiful flower arrangements called Pookolam. Kerala has is its unique culture. People here love performing traditional dances like Kathakali and Mohiniyattam, which tell stories through graceful movements and colorful costumes. You can also witness thrilling boat races where teams compete in long, narrow boats called 'vallam' during festivals like Vallam Kali. National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers. Kerala has unique and very delicious foods like appam and stew, puttu and kadala curry, and their famous banana chips.
