A compound X which is yellow in basic medium, reacts with another compound Y to give a

green coloured solution. The compound Y which has molar mass 64, is known to decolourise
the acidic solution of another compound Z. The compound Z when heated, decomposes into a
green filtrate A and a black residue B. The compound A reacts with Chlorine to form a salt C
and when A reacts with Ozone, it releases a gas D. Y on the other hand reacts with another
compound E to form a mercury complex, which reacts with the dye pararosaniline, and is
estimated calorimetrically.
100ml of 0.5M Z is treated with 50 ml nM Mohr's salt in a solution of pH 3.75. The leftover Z
completely reacts with 50ml of mM Oxalic acid. The same solution of oxalic acid completely
reacts with 30ml of 0.6M X in the same conditions as above.

1. The sum of the molar masses of A,B,C,D and E is ___________________ (2)

2. (n+m)/(n*m)=_________________(Type -1 if infinity) (2)
