Name: Thieme, Alexandra (athieme10@arizona.edu)

Project: ABP-3 Website Development

Task 1: Website hosting and Design Methodology

1.1. The website development tool used to develop your website

Adobe DreamWeaver

1.2. What computing platform you used to develop your website

A windows 11 laptop

1.3. A screenshot image of the ABP3 project folder

Task 2: Web-based Marketing Strategy

2.1. Product and adword (word or phrase)

Adword:“Smarter, Faster Aerospace Production” for Aerospace Manufacturing Products

2.2. AdWord selection criteria discussion

I believe the AdWord selection of “Smarter, Faster Aerospace Production” will be

powerful for drawing customers because it is mentioned repeatedly on the website and acts as
the main selling point for the aerospace manufacturing section of the website. Since demand is
growing in the aerospace industry, this phrase will attract customers who need products or
services related to this industry. It is also a key phrase in other parts of the website, since
Rockwell Automation values innovation.

2.3. Assessment of the effectiveness of your proposed AdWord

The proposed Adword I used above did not result in searches related to my company and
provided information rather than products. The search did, however, return other companies
related to aerospace engineering and manufacturing. The results returned were from
competitor companies that solely focused on aerospace, whereas Rockwell Automation focuses

on numerous other branches of industrial machinery. I believe the results would have been more
accurate if the Adphrase was more specific to my company.

2.4. Screenshot of the top organic search result reported by Google for your AdWord

Task 3: Universal Design and Accessibility

3.1. “Language Missing” Analysis

3.1(a) The attribute <html lang="en"> should be added to notify users that the
website language used is English.

3.1(b) Adding a “lang” attribute would improve the understandability of this website by
allowing users to automatically tell what language the website is in to ensure it reaches it’s
correct audience.

3.2. “Missing Alternate Text” Analysis

3.3(a)<img src="http://www.washington.edu/doit/Kb/Images/ACLogo220x110.gif"
alt="AccessComputing">

3.3(b) Adding an “alt text” attribute would improve the perceivability of a website
because it allows for screen readers to make the website more accessible to those with sight
impairments or disabilities.

Task 5: HTML source code of your “index.html” website

(Note that your website source code will be several pages long (5-6 pages or about 250 lines) and may
be inconsistently formatted, which is why this item is located at the end of your assignment report.)

<h2>Rockwell Automation utilizes an authority website to relay information about their services
and products to customers in neat and easy to navigate presentation.&nbsp; &nbsp; This type of website
is appropriate for a company in the specialty industrial machinery sector because it effectively explains
what areas of equipment the company produces to users who may be unfamiliar with the industry. The
drop down menus and easy-to-read tabs allow customers to explore the site while also quickly find the
information they are looking for. An organized and styled website is important, as it represents the
company at first glance to a customer and allows them to make initial assumptions that are hopefully
positive if executed properly.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; </h2>

<h2>Rockwell Automation's customer-facing wesbite accurately depicts its environmental,

social, and governance brand through emphasising transformation in the modern world. For example,
an element on the company's website that aligns with their ESG strategy is providing factual information
to customers for them to form an accurate opinion of the company, such as case studies on their
sustainable use of water. This feature relates to the environmental aspect of their ESG ratings, as water
sustainability is a common concern among modern consumers. The wesbite also showcases the social
aspect of the company with its own section on partners, sales, and employees.</h2>
