Context and Rationale (Introduction)

Students that consistently attend school have a higher chance of dance success, hence the dance

performance rate is crucial. It is difficult for the teacher and the students to improve and build their

skills if a large portion of the dance is continually absent.

Now a days some students are not attentively and participating in physical activities because they

focus in a lot of unnecessary things like using their phone while doing physical activities like dance

that cause to them to lose interest in dance

Lack of prior knowledge in modern dance of grade 7 cause of Poor communication and self-esteem,

diminished motor skills, low baseline levels of physical activity, and feelings of alienation are some

of the personal and intrapersonal barriers to dancing. Doing dance in school have plenty benefits

some of them are Better Brain Health, Improved Flexibility, Minimized Stress, Reduced Depression,

Weight Loss, Increased Energy, Improved Cardiovascular Health, Better Coordination Strength &

Balance. While every student is absent from class for a number of days. Regular physical activity

like dance at school is critical for a student's health and social development. Students who often miss

class suffer from both disadvantages. Social and overall well-being, they hinder their academic

advancement and physical health while also missing out on important periods of peer growth and

social engagement. Low self-esteem, social isolation, and discontent might follow from this, which

may have been the initial cause of non-attendance.

Lack of materials needed such as P.E uniform, Speaker and space that can cause chaos in classroom

while doing dance performance specially for space of the classroom because of some students are

stubborn and fooling around while doing dance if they are not fit in classroom

SCHOOLS DIVISION OF BATAAN

Running Head:__________________________________________________________ 5

For administrators, teachers, parents, society, and students in particular, lack of prior knowledge is a

serious issue. Peer relationships are harmed by not participating in dance activity, which may lead to

being not physically and mentally healthy.

The teacher's capacity to give the material to the class in a sequential and orderly manner is also

impacted by dance performance. All of the class's students' progress may be impacted by this. The

family of a persistently student, however, may also experience hardship. For a family living in

poverty, it can mean continuing the cycle of unemployment and poverty that may run in the family.

The disputes in families are also a result of this. It may possible for students to attend school without

breakfast and have problems in their house that cause them to not participate in dance performances

in school.

In this study, the researcher would like to minimize this problem, if not eradicate it. That is why the

researcher will conduct action research to understand them better. He wanted a more accurate

analysis of why some of his students are not participating in dance performance, so he could

formulate plans, projects, and programs to minimize their problem. Also, the use of incentive-based

intervention to improve social interaction, academic and physical performance can be perceived as

beneficial among students.

This action study will be conducted in the context of identifying the reasons behind the Grade 7
students at Hermosa National High School's tardiness. The researcher's top priorities include
enhancing the four students' dance performance and academic performance because he serves as the
section supervisor for Grade 10.

Research Questions

The study will attempt to answer to seeks to document how to Improve the Efficacy of

peer-scaffolding of grade 7 students on the topic modern dance in Hermosa National High

School.

Specifically, it will seek to answer the following questions:

1.What is the demographic profile of the respondents as to:

1.1 Sex

2.2 Age, and

1.3 section

2. What are the factors that cause a lack of prior knowledge of modern dance among grade 7th

students?

3.How can you improve your modern dance?

4.What are the things you can help to your classmate who doesn’t want to dance?

5. Which modern dance style do you always consistently practice?

Hypothesis

This is significance differences in grade 7 students experiences on the Efficacy of Peer-

Scaffolding of grade 7 students on the topic modern dance when they are grouped according to
democratic profile.
Proposed innovation, intervention and strategy.

assessing the dance performances of students in classroom based on their physical activity

engagement.

Parents- The result of this study could serve as a baseline data to provide understanding on the

importance of prior knowledge in dance, such as modern dance to the performances of their

students in classroom.

Teachers- They may benefit from the result of the study if the researcher can show the

importance of dance to the performance of students in a classroom. The result could provide an

appropriate format for evaluating and developing interventions for the welfare and improvements

of the students.

School Administrators- This study beneficial to school administrators while effective teaching

and learning are essential, a well-rounded education that serves the needs of the complete child

depends on the administration that supports them. A comprehensive education that goes well

beyond information transfer is supported by efficient administration and operations.
