The purpose of the study is to review the 12 manuscripts accepted into the special issue of
politics, philanthropy and governance in the Chinese Management Studies. It also wants to
determine the impact of power, agency conflict that influences the behavior of the members of
the organization. Moreover, it also discussed some of behavioural issues in the organization
such as self-regulation, psychological contract, organizational citizenship, leadership and
corruption.
The researcher used different theories such as Agency Theory, the concept of Behavior and
Leadership that is actually interconnected with the key concept of governance such as in the
accountability, transparency, strategic vision, corruption to name a few. These was noted in
order to gain the connection when it comes to the performance of the Chinese Management
Studies and how to address problems through mechanisms of internal control and monitoring,
ownership structures as well as the external factors affecting the mechanism per se.

The researcher used the qualitative method of research through gathering primary data in the
form of interview and survey. Further, the researcher also used secondary data in order to have
an analysis on the existing phenomenon through case study, literature, and comparative review.
The researcher also used a quantitative approached by using linear regression, simultaneous
equation. Therefore, the researcher used a mixed method of research.
The researcher collected data through the use of primary and secondary data by conducting
interview, survey as well as case study for the in-depth analysis of the phenomenon presented.
VI. Assumptions the Article is making with respect to Values, Human Nature and
Method
The Assumptions of the article is that there are significant impact of the corporate governance,
corruption, philanthropy in the performance of the company specially on their profitability, and
the performance of the leaders and the quality of work and how they can eventually use
different mechanism to enhanced the performance of the firm

IX. Suggested Theoretical Framework and Research Method for the follow-up study
Based on the presented theoretical framework and methods, I suggest to have more theory to
be used or look at the concepts of good governance. On the other hand, the methods used in the
study can also be sufficient in the follow up study.
