The Problem and its Setting

Statement of the Problem

The productivity of the employees differs from the management style used in the
organization whether it is autocratic or democratic style. The management style has a different
work place environment. This work environment seems to be crucial for employees and have a
major impact regarding in the aspects of their work. An environment where employees feel a
sense of belongingness and free to express themselves making them to be at their best.
Chandrasekar (2011) asserts that the type of workplace environment in which employees operate
determines whether or not organizations will prosper. This means that the performance of
employees also affected by the working environment. Employees’ comfort on the job,
determined by workplace conditions and environment, has been recognized as an important
factor for measuring their productivity (Leblebici, 2012). Not all styles will be a fit for every
situation but which management style is more effective than the other?
