SL COMPONENT OF DESCRIPTION
NO THE LESSON PLAN
1 TEACHING RESISTORS CONNECTED IN SERIES. To prove that
CONTENT equivalent resistance of a group of resistors is equal to the sum
of the resistances of individual resistors.
2 TEACHING 1. To enable the students to understand how to connect a group
LEARNING of resistors in series.
OBJECTIVES 2. To develop the observation skills in students how to take
readings on ammeter and voltmeter.
3. To explain how this concept is applied in lighting fairy lights
on festivals.
4. Write Mathematical expression to find the equivalent of 3
resistors connected in series.
5. To enable the students to complete the worksheets.

3. TEACHING GROUP WORK

LEARNING
PROCESS
3a) ENGAGE The teacher will divide the students in groups and ask them to
connect the resistors in series with the help of resistors,
ammeter , battery and voltmeter.
3b) EXPLORE The children will observe the changes in ammeter and voltmeter
reading and find out the equivalent resistance.
3c) EXPLAIN The teacher will explain how the series connection is helpful in
decorating buildings with fairy lights on festivals.
3d) ELABORATE The teacher will derive the Mathematical expression as
R=R1+R2+R3
3e) EVALUATE The teacher will evaluate the learning outcome of the students
through a)concept based worksheets b) solving problems
4. TEACHING 1.Collection of related information from internet
LEARNING schools.aglasem.com
SUPPORT 2.Power point presentation www.olemis.edu
MATERIALS
5. EVALUATION According to the results of feedback ,the teacher will adjust his
teaching plan for remedial work and monitor himself to make
the concept clear for slow learners
