This resource is designed for teaching the Great Fire of London KS1 History unit. It is suitable for
Year 2 children and more able Year 1 children. The sentences are short, using basic words and
structure. As well as an illustrated Topic Booklet to tell the story, the pack also includes a Write Your
Own Notes Booklet, with illustrations to match the Topic Booklet and blanks for children to fill in to
complete the story. The children really enjoyed the interactive experience, which made for a very
informative outdoor lesson that helped them learn even more. My gremlin then cut these out and
glued on the top of each house. I’ve always wanted to get my eldest into scrapbooking a bit more but
it’s having the time and it is quite a messy activity. Initially she wanted to make a model house, as
many of her friends were doing that but I managed to convince her to make a scrapbook page, with
pictures, lettering and some text. I placed some more white card at the top of the house and
measured half-way along the top of the house to get the mid-point. One day I hope or we just cope
