Overview
This document covers the production process of MDF boards and work in process and finished goods quality involved in making boards. The
product i.e. board may differ according to thickness and density. Only raw material is wood having density of 400-700 kg/m 3 and moisture content
40-80 %.

6. Chips Silo
Chips are passed through belt conveyor and stored here.
There is a provision for using chips from PB through belt conveyor when MDF chipper is not used.
5. Screener
Dump Oversize Chips & Dust. Standard size chips go for fiber production
7. Surge Bin
Chips Storage at The Top of Plug Screw
8. Pre-Heater
Chips are boiled here with required amount of steam to make fiber from chips.
9. Refiner
Makes fiber from boiled chips by using two refiner plate (one is rotating another is fixed).
Resin Production
10. Refer to Resin Production process mixed with fiber
Good boards are transferred to the Civil department on the basis of note approved by GM engineering and then AGM Production & GM
Production & Planning
35. Sometimes, two or more boards are joined together to make a different board for door plant. This process takes place in ply wood plant.
