The Museum of Science and Industry's lastest exhibition, The Blue Paradox, is more than a

normal exhibition. It's an immersive plunge into the heart of a critical environmental issue:
plastic pollution in our oceans. There are numerous pieces of knowledge I learned from this
exhibition. It shows the serious, harsh reality that our ocean is pervasive with plastic garbage,
beaches are overwhelmed with waste, microplastics are even found in our food and drinks.
Despite visiting this exhibition once, I am still mesmerized and impressed by the way they
exhibited artistic illustrations, videos, and even simulated ocean sounds which create a realistic
underwater atmosphere. These help me clearly witness the diversity of sea creatures together
with an increase in plastic waste. However, this exhibition doesn’t leave me feeling hopeless. It
shows the beacon of hope by presenting the ongoing efforts to fight against plastic waste, from
modern, innovative recycling technologies to individual actions we can take. The Blue Paradox
is an impactful experience, which is a perfect learning opportunity for students and a powerful
call to action for adults. It would be amazing if you visit this exhibition one day, in the near
future no plastic garbage float freely on our sea surface.
