REGULATIONS MANUAL:
KEVURUNAN 2024
OATH OF SPORTSMANSHIP
To do honor to ourselves and to our delegation; and to commit ourselves to participate in the
Kevurunan 2024 “CBA @ 60: Celebrating Quality Business Education” with the will to win
and ever prepared to lose nobly to our match;
To prove by deeds, our belief that self-conquest is the first and best victory; never to yield to
anger or impulse or emotions;
To practice self-control at all times and to show consideration for all, especially to our
opponents; never to sacrifice sportsmanship for personal advantage;
We, the technical officials of the Kevurunan 2024 " CBA @ 60: Celebrating Quality
Business Education" do solemnly swear that we shall take a part in these games in complete
impartiality and pledge to perform our respective duties and responsibilities assigned to us; and
to do the best of our abilities with the highest degree of honesty and integrity in the true spirit of
fair play.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
The Kevurunan 2024 is scheduled on April 3 - 5, 2024 at the Notre Dame of Midsayap College
campus. The official theme for this year's Kevurunan 2024 is “CBA @ 60: Celebrating Quality
Business Education”. The official teams with corresponding team composition and entry
number:
1. Air Nomads
2. Earth Kingdom
3. Fire Nation
4. Water Tribe
This is a 3-day affair. Programs and events schedules will be distributed to the team leaders of
each team. It shall be their duty to remind their players of the scheduled day and time of the
events.
This information aims to promote sportsmanship, respect, discipline and camaraderie among
athlete and contestants from every team by playing, participating and supporting each and every
potential asset in all events.
1. Must be a bona fide student of CBA for the 2nd Semester of A.Y. 2023-2024.
2. Basketball Men varsity players are allowed to play in all events except in basketball.
1. Official list of players and participants duly signed by the team leader.
2. Each team should submit the official list of participants/players and music (Socio Sports,
Socio-Cultural and Socio-Academics) on or before March 22, 2024 until 5:00 PM at the CBA
Office.
1. The Protest Committee (PC) is composed of CBA Dean, CBA-LSG Moderators, CBA-LSG
Governor, CBA-LSG Vice Governor, Committee Chairpersons and GAB member/s who
received the protest form.
2. Procedure of protest:
a. Protest shall be made by the team captain or student coach to the official table during the
game/event.
b. Protest filed or lodged during the game must be done in writing and should be submitted to the
PC within one (1) hour after the game/event.
d. After the PC has arrived with a decision, both parties will be informed about the decision in
writing also.
f. Protest will be accommodated provided that the protesting team shall pay

IX. DEFAULT
1. In terms of back out or withdrawal from a particular event, the team/participant will be
considered "default".
2. Teams/participant that will arrive after the last call will be automatically considered late,
which also means "default"
X. ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES
2. CBA - LSG Officers are not allowed to play and participate in any events of socio-sports,
socio-academics, and socio-cultural.
3. Trainers are allowed, however, the CBA is not responsible for the amount to be paid to them.
Outside practices to all events are not allowed for health and security reasons. Any team who
will be caught in violation of this rule shall have a ten (10) point deduction to the overall points.
Arrangement and controls for schedule of practices shall be the responsibility of the CBA
officers to avoid conflict.
4. Point System shall be applied in all socio-cultural and socio-academic events. In case of tie,
the judges will convene and choose the winner.
5. In case of point deduction due to some violations committed. The board of tabulators shall
deduct necessary points and shall present the final tally sheet to the board of judges.
6. The search for Mr. and Ms. Kevurunan 2024 and Novelty Dance will have no bearing on the
over-all point system.
6. The decision of the board of judges and officials is FINAL AND IRREVOCABLE.
1. The official FIBA rules shall be applied. Mandatory (change 5) is also applied.
2. The game will be played in four-quarter matches with an interval of 10 minutes running
time per quarter. Running time is not di in the 4th quarter. Each team can have a
minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 players.
3. Each team must have a Team Captain; only team captains are allowed to complain about
any violations the referee calls.
4. Only 5 players are allowed to enter the court. The players must wear proper attire. No
proper attire, No play.
5. Players must respect the referee's decision.
6. The team with the highest score wins the match and will proceed to the next level.
7. The game will be played at single elimination.
8. Refrain from saying bad words and avoid inappropriate actions inside the court.
9. The defaulting time will be 10 minutes after the last call.
10. Ground rules shall prevail over international rules.
1. The game is to be played 6 players on the court. Each team must have a minimum of 7
players and a maximum of 12 players per team.
2. The game will be played at 2 out of 3 sets raise to 25 points per set with a slide. The
team must won 2 sets before declaring as a winner and will proceed to the next level of
the competition.
3. Each team must have a Team Captain, only team captains are allowed to complain to
any violations called by the referee.
4. The game will be played at single elimination.
5. Players must wear proper attire. No proper attire, No play.
6. Only 6 players on the floor at any given time; 3 in the front row and 3 in the back row.
7. Players must respect authority and sportsmanship.
8. The defaulting time will be 10 minutes after the last call.
9. Avoid inappropriate actions and shouting of bad words while inside in the court.
10. FIVB rules must be applied in the games with those in the lectures using international
rules.
Conduct
1. As explained in the above section, players/teams must be responsible for each member’s
actions. Any member within a team who violates the player’s conduct will be disqualified from
entering the tournament.
2. Players must commit to the time/schedule mentioned in the tournament platform.
3. Betting is strictly forbidden between teams and will not be tolerated.
4. “Agreeing to lose on purpose” will also be considered as a disqualification act if found out by
the organizers.
5. Teams are advised to be compliant with the mentioned rules for the smooth flow of the
tournament. Therefore, teams that violate these rules will be disqualified immediately.
Tournament Bracket
1. Each cluster must only have one (1) team.
2. All matches will be played online.
3. Round robin shall be executed in the tournament.
Match Rule
1. A match refers to the games being played between Team A and Team B (bo3).
2. A game refers to the current game being played between Team A and Team B.
3. The mobile application to be used is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Developer: Moonton).
4. Match starts – The team on the top of the bracket will have the choice for which side they
play. For best-of-three series, a coin toss will be made. The winner of the coin toss will have the
choice for which side they play on the first game of the best-of-three series. The other team will
choose sides on the second game.
5. Match ends – The first team to destroy the opposing Team’s Base wins. The match also ends if
the team surrenders, loses or violates rules.
6. If any players disconnects during a match that is hosted by the admins, they can request a
GAB Official to pause the game for the player to be reconnected. The maximum pause time of
one team is 2 minutes. Marshalls have the right to extend the time. Once all players are ready, as
indicated by both Team Captains, the GAB Official will resume the game.
7. In the case of a server crash, the game can be continued from a new draft but has to be the
same line up.
8. In the event of a technical difficulty which leads the GAB Officials to declare a restart, the
GAB Official may instead award a game victory to a team. If a game has been played for more
than 5 minutes on the game clock (00:05:00), GAB
Officials, at their sole discretion, may determine that a team cannot avoid defeat to a degree of
reasonable certainty. The following criteria may be used in the determination of reasonable
certainty:
a. The teams total net worth differences must exceed 800 x minutes of the game. For
example, 20 minutes into the game, Team A holds a net worth of
20,000 while Team B’s net worth at 38,000. The difference in net worth of the two teams is
18,000. The difference in net worth of 18,000 is greater than
16,000 (which is the standard net worth to beat by the team as computed as
800 x 20minutes = 16,000).Hence Team B is deemed victorious.
b. In the situation where the difference in net worth is less than 800 x minutes of the
game, the game has to be remade.
Tournament Flow
1. Schedule changes
a. The GAB Officials reserve the right to reschedule and make changes to the
tournament’s dates or alter the schedule in any other way or form. b. All teams will be informed
of any changes made by GAB Officials at once.
Game Version
1. The game version used will be decided by GAB Officials. Use of newly released heroes,
heroes with recent balance updates and those with known bugs may be temporarily banned. The
duration of the ban will be determined by GAB Officials.
Preparation Time
1. Players are free to prepare after their check in. However, the players must enter the lobby at
the agreed match time schedule.
2. Players are given the time to check ping before the start of the game. Players must be in the
venue 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time.
In-game Lobby
1. The Marshalls will create the in-game lobby for matches that are to be live streamed. The
players should follow the instructions from the GAB admin on how to enter the in-game lobby.
Technical Support
1. GAB Officials will provide technical assistance during matches to solve any problems that
may occur.
Match preparation
a. Pick/Ban Process
b. All the 6 teams will go through the coin toss process to determine their picks and bans. The
referee/marshal will ensure both teams are ready to enter the pick/ban phase after players from
both teams have entered the in-game lobby.
c. Once both teams are ready, the referee will inform the in-game lobby admin to start the game.
Game Setting
1. Map: Tournament Mode (5V5)
2. Game type: Draft Pick
3. Pick/ban phase and pick priority
Game Restrictions
1. If there is a presence of a known bug in any device, hero, skin, emblem, any skill, or any other
reason determined by GAB Officials, the latter may add a restriction at any time before or during
the match.
Pick Process
a. A team that is in upper bracket of a match has the first pick priority.
b. A team that is in a lower bracket of a match will create a lobby.
Example:
Best of 3 (elimination) – First game – Coin toss, 2nd game alternate pick priority, third game
alternate.
Best of 7 (championship) – First game – Coin toss, 2nd game alternate pick priority, third game
alternate, fourth game alternate pick priority, 5th game new coin toss.
Pick Priority
A. Draft Pick
The pick/ban order will follow the default sequence set in the game.
B. Wrong pick
If a team has picked/banned a hero by mistake, the game will still be continued. There
will be no remakes due to wrong pick/ban.
C. Swapping heroes
If there is a mistake due to player’s negligence when swapping heroes, the match will still
continue. Exchanging devices is not allowed under any circumstance. Pick priority will only be
applied to the grand finals team who are from the upper bracket. They will have the pick priority
coming into the grand finals.
D. Game starts after pick/ban phase
The game will immediately start after the pick/ban phase unless there are other
instructions from the referee/marshal. GAB staff will remove any irrelevant items from the game
zone. Players are not allowed to leave the game in-between the period after pick/ban phase is
complete until the game starts.
E. Connection problem
If a problem occurs during game loading due to the presence of a bug, disconnection,
other errors or a player fails to join the match after the game has started, the game must be
paused until all 10 players are connected to the game. However, this is only valid for hosted
matches. For matches where there are no referees present, it is the players’ responsibility to
ensure that their data connection is good.
In game
1. There are 5 pauses in every game consisting of 2 minutes.
2. Pauses are allowed during officially-hosted team fights if it is a critical error such as:

Please come prepared on the time mentioned by the admins.
Teams must follow any instructions from the admins.
Players are to conduct themselves appropriately during the tournament time frame when
interacting with admins or with other players.
For any accusations/reports, proofs/evidences, such as a screenshot of the conversation,
must be attached along with the report (e.g an opponent team forfeiting their match. The
evidence will help the marshals to determine the truthfulness of the accusation or report.
Penalties
A team who fails to follow the scheduled time will be penalized in this order:
a. Minutes Late: Disqualified from the match (Free win to the opponent
Players Misconduct:
1st Warning of Player’s Misconduct: Team loses all their pauses in the whole duration of
the game.
2nd Warning of Player’s Misconduct: Team loses all their first ban priority in the whole
duration of the game.
3rd Warning of Player’s Misconduct: Team loses all their ban priority in the whole
duration of the game.
Certain issues can be discussed with the admin in case of relevant cases stated above.
However, the case can be dismissed based on the organizer’s discussion and proof’s
trustworthiness of the said issue.
1. Each team is entitled to have two (2) groups consists of three (3) representatives per
group, any year level.
2. Each team should wear their team shirt on the contest day.
3. The quiz bowl will be divided into three rounds: Easy, Average, and Difficult.
4. The question shall be of Multiple-Choice Type. The questions to be asked in each
round shall be from the following categories: one (1) Basic Accounting, one (1)
Management,
one (1) Business, one (1) CBA History, one (1) NDMC History, and one (1) Current
Events.
5. The type of Questions will only be limited to fifteen (15) seconds per question for the
Easy round, thirty (30) seconds for the Average round, and sixty (45) seconds for the
Difficult round. The timer starts after the quizmaster reads the question twice. After the
timer stops, the team must raise their answer. Any team who is still writing shall be
considered void.
6. Easy round is equivalent to 5 points, 10 points for Average round, and 15 points for
Difficult round.
7. Questions and protests from the participants regarding the answer to the items will be
entertained by the Quiz Master before proceeding to the next question.
8. At the end of each round, the quiz bowl committee will compute the cumulative score
of each team or contestant.
9. In case of a tie at the end of the difficult round, a tiebreaker question will be asked, and
the first to raise the correct answer wins.
10. At the end of the contest, the team with the highest cumulative score will be declared
the Champion of the CBA Quiz Showdown. The following third-highest-scoring teams
will be declared First, Second, and Third Runners up, respectively.
EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEAKING
1. During the contest proper, each contestant will pick an envelope containing one
question and will be given three (3) minutes to prepare and three (3) minutes to deliver
his/her speech
2. The Socio-Academic Committee shall guide all contestants inside a closed area. The
next contestant will be accompanied by a Socio-Academic member to the contest venue
two (2) minutes after the contestant on stage starts his/ her speech.
3. The official dress code during the contest is the NDMC School Uniform.
4. The decision of the judges is FINAL AND IRREVOCABLE.

Written
The judges will evaluate and deliberate the output of each team using the following
criteria:

ADVERTISEMENT CONTEST
1. The CBA Advertisement is open to all bona fide NDMC- CBA students who are enrolled
in the second semester A.Y. 2023 – 2024.
2. The advertisement must have a length of 1 minute and a maximum of 2 minutes.
3. The content must be advertising the College of Business and Accountancy in relation to
the celebration of 60th anniversary of CBA.
4. The filming location can be either at the campus or within Midsayap only.
5. The team must consist of a minimum of two members and a maximum of five members.
Those featured in the advertisement should exclude the videographer/editor, with the
team composition not exceeding two additional members.
6. The advertisement will be uploaded by the LSG officer in the Official Facebook Page of
CBA LSG only.
7. Vulgar words, texts or gestures are strictly prohibited in the entirety of the advertisement.
8. Recommended specifications of the videos are the following:
a. Video format: H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 preferred.
b. Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (Letterboxed if necessary)
c. Resolution: 1920x1080 preferred
d. Audio Format: MP3 or AAC preferred.
e. Frames per second: 25
9. The team is obligated to submit their entry in the .mp4 format, stored on a flash drive,
and must verify its integrity. Failure to do so will result in the entry being ineligible for
acceptance and subsequent upload onto the Facebook Page.
10. Deadline of submission schedule is on or before April 3, 2024 exactly 11:59 AM at
CBA Office.
11. The announcement of winners will be on April 5, 2024.
12. In judging of the entry, 90% would be coming from the judge and 10% coming from the
Facebook views
13. The result of the judging is final and irrevocable.
14. Any violation of the stipulated guidelines will result in a deduction of 3 points per
judges.
SOCIO-CULTURAL EVENTS
1. Each team may have a maximum of two (2) participants, 1 girl and 1 boy.
2. The candidates must not have won any municipal and regional titles.
3. The candidates will compete in the following exposures:
o Las Vegas Concept Attire
o Sports Attire
o Play Suit Attire
o Formal Wear/Long Gown
o Question and Answer
4. There should be a maximum of three (2) persons with ID provided by the Socio-
Cultural Committee are allowed to assist the candidates in each team at the back stage.
5. The candidates are strictly given a maximum of (10) ten minutes to prepare and
retouch in every exposure.
6. Candidates who will be absent during the practices, pictorials, and such, should inform
the Chairperson of the committee before the scheduled event, or practice so that
necessary adjustments will be made.
7. The CBA officers will provide a big tarpaulin for all the candidates. However, the team
must shoulder the expenses for the individual tarpaulin of their own candidates.
8. Candidates must be at the back stage at least 30 minutes before the program starts.
9. A five (5)-point deduction will be made per judge for a late candidate/s.
10. Ranking system will be used to determine the winners.
11. The decision of the board of judges is FINAL AND IRREVOCABLE.
12. The submission of names of the contestants will be on March 22, 2024, to Socio-
Cultural Committee Head. The height screening shall be followed at the School Clinic.
13. 70% for beauty (Exposures) and 30% for Question and Answer shall be used to
identify the winners.

NOVELTY DANCE
1. Every team shall have two (2) participants in any gender combination.
2. The participants should perform one (1) Teleserye Theme Song (Tagalog or English).
3. The song must be from the year 2000 up to the present.
4. Participants shall provide their own minus one accompaniment.
5. Rendition must be limited to five (5) minutes only.
6. The participants are obliged to wear decent attire.
7. Contestants must be at the Gymnasium at least 30 minutes before the program starts.
8. A five (5)-point deduction will be made per judge for every violation committed.
9. A ranking system will be used to determine the winner. Any deductions will be made
before ranking.
10. Submission of music will be on or before April 1, 2024 exactly 5:00 PM at CBA
Office.
11. The decision of the board of judges is FINAL AND IRREVOCABLE.
