Good morning class! Good morning, teacher.

Let us pray first. kindly lead the prayer.

Before you sit down, kindly please pick up

the pieces of paper on the floor.

You may now sit down.

(Checking of attendance)

Is there any absentee today? None, teacher.

That’s great!

Before we formally start our discussion this

morning, I have rules that you must follow
and that rule is abbreviated to L.R.P

It means that pupils should Listen, Respect

and Participate during the discussion.

Are the rules clear class? Yes, teacher.

Alright, very good.
1. Review

Before we proceed to our next

discussion, let us have a review first about the
discussion last meeting.

What was our lesson last meeting? Types of Soil.

Very well!

Now to check if you have really learned our

lesson last meeting, we will be having an
activity.

This activity will be called: “Identify Me!”

Direction: Identify the soil particle described

in each statement. Write your answer before Possible Answers:
the number.
1. Silt
2. Sand
____1. It is a medium -sized particle in soil,
3. Clay
when dry, it feels smooth and powdery. 4. Sand
5. Silt
____2. This is the largest particle in soil, it
feels rough when you rub it.

____3. It is the smallest particle in soil that

feels smooth and sticky when wet, and hard
when dry.

____4. It is mostly found on the beaches and

seashores.

____5. The particles are packed tightly and

become sticky when wet.

Excellent class! You got it all correct.

With that, let's give everyone a (Student do as told)

2. Motivation

(The teacher will present a poem to the class.)

Everybody read!

Water
Three fourths of the earth is water
In the forms of oceans, lakes and rivers
Stream, brooks and waterfalls
Water vapor in the air

Water everywhere, water has three forms

Ice in the solid form
Water that we drink is in liquid form
Steam in the gaseous form

Now, what is the poem all about? It is all about water.

How much water do we have here on earth? Earth consists of three fourths of water.

What are the different forms of water? There are different forms of water such as
oceans, lakes, rivers, streams, brooks and
Very Good! waterfalls.

Now that you have an idea of what we are

going to dicuss. Our discussion today is all
about Water in the Environment.

3. Statement of the Aim

I want you to listen attentively because at the

end of the lesson you will be able to know the
water in the environment, compare and
contrast the different sources of water, give
importance to one's access to clean water; and
propose an advocacy campaign on the phrase
“Save the Water”.

Are the objectives clear, class? Yes, teacher.

Do you have any questions before we proceed None, teacher.
to our discussion?

Alright!

B. Explore

We will have a group activity. This activity is

their daily lives? 2. Humans use freshwater for drinking,
cooking, bathing, washing clothes,
watering plants, and many other
everyday activities.
3. Why is freshwater important for plants
and animals? 3. Freshwater is vital for plants and
animals because they need it to
survive and grow. Plants use
freshwater for photosynthesis, while
animals need it to drink and stay
hydrated.
4. What are some sources of freshwater? 4. Some sources of freshwater include
rivers, lakes, ponds, streams, springs,
and underground aquifers.
5. How can we conserve freshwater for
future generations? 5. We can conserve freshwater by fixing
leaks, using water-saving appliances,

*Values Integration

What have you observed with the boy?

He is drinking water from the ground.

Is the water clean? No, teacher.

Why is it not clean? The water is not clean because it is coming

from the ground and it’s not clear water.
That’s right! Why is the boy drinking water
from the ground? The boy is drinking water from the ground
because they don’t have a source of water and
they are only depending on water that came
from the rain and ground.

Can you recall an experience when you had (Student will share their experienced)
this situation ?

How does it feel?

(Student will share their experienced)
That’s right!

Class, we are so blessed that we can easily

access clean water and drink anytime because
there are people who can’t drink clean water.
They don’t have a source of water in their
area. So class, I hope that all of you will
treasure our source of water and don’t destroy
it.

Do you understand? Yes, teacher.

Very good!
