Preliminary Activities
Good Morning Class!! Good Morning Ma’am!

Stand up and Lets have a prayer first. (Prayer)

Lets check first the attendance and say

present once your name is called.

Group III
Let the student see the picture of bulad
as an example of natural resources that
can be found in the water resource.

Group IV
Class what can you say about the picture A fish and a dried fish, crab.
posted on the board?

Ok very good!
Where can you find fishes? In sea or oceans
Very good!

C. Explore

Let us have a picture puzzle. As you

can see I have here four (4) envelopes.
Inside it is the picture that you going to
form.

I will divide the class into four (4) groups.

Each group will have one (1) envelope to
D. Explain
form.
(Discussion)
I will give you 5 minutes to do that.
Ok class! From the activity that was Ma’am they are land, water, animals and air.
Isconducted,
that clear?what can you say about and Yes Ma’am!
what are they?
They are all Natural Resources.
Very good! What do you call those land,
water, animals, and air?

Very good. So when we say natural

resources is what people can use which
comes from the natural resources are
air, water, land and animals. They are
called natural resources because they
are not made by humankind rather
they are gathered by nature. In
addition sunlight and wind are also part
of natural resources.

Okay! Lets proceed to the first

resources which is air. Air in the Earth
atmosphere. Air around is a mixture
gases and dust particles. The earth
composed of 78% of nitrogen, 21% of
oxygen, and 1% other gases including
water vapor and carbon dioxide.
The uses of air to generate electricity.
Which also helps in the in dispersed of
seeds. Air supports burning, the oxygen
in air is essential. We burn fuels to cook
food, heat things and make electricity
and drive vehicles. Air also important to
human in order to breath.

Lest proceed to the second resources

which is land.

Land use involves the management and

modification of natural resources or
wildness into built environment such as
settlements and semi-natural habitats
such as arable fields, pastures and
manage woods.

For example here in Tanauan we have

arable fields like Ambao and Adele are
our very own natural resources here in
Tanauan.

There are many types of land use.

Examples: Recreational fun,
nonessentials like parks Transport-
roads railways and airports
Agricultural – farm land
Residential – factories

Third resources Water

Water a colorless transparent, odorless

liquid that form the seas, rivers, and
rain in the basis of the fluids of living
organism. Different variety of fish are
found in the ocean where we can get
our source of foods and income. Fr
example dried fish in Tanauan,
specifically in Brgy. Bislig Tanauan,
Leyte is known for the production of
dried fish or bulad.
The uses of water for domestic purpose,
like cooking, drinking, bathing and
washing.

Agricultural – farming, gardening

Industrial- manufacturing
Recreation – swimming, rating, boating
Hydropower generation

Fourth Resources Animals

Animals is a living organism that feeds on

organic matter, typically having
specialized sense organs.
And nervous system and able to respond
rapidly to stimuli.

For example here in Tanauan we have

lots of animals. Animals we serve as our
food like chicken, pig, carabao, and etc.

Animals help human in many ways.

Animals help fertilize plant. They are part
of the food chain and keep ecosystem in
balance. They serve companion animals
like helping reduce depression,
loneliness.

E. Elaborate

Let the watch video clip about the natural

resources

Guide questions

1. What do you notice from the video? The tress have been cut down.
