They are considerably more durable than
mechanical contactors, save a lot of space
and are fast to wire. The hybrid motor
starters offer up to four functions for your
motor in a single device. Simply select:

Hybrid technology
What makes the CONTACTRON hybrid
motor starter so durable? A microprocessor-
controlled combination of wear-free
semiconductor technology with rugged relay
technology enables wear-reduced switching.
This relieves the load on relay contacts
considerably and thus increases their service
life by at least 10 times compared to purely
mechanical standard solutions.

You can switch fast, frequently and

wear-free using solid-state contactors
– for example motors or heaters.
CONTACTRON solid-state contactors
are insensitive with respect to shock
load, vibration and aggressive polluted
environment. They are also available as
1-phase or 3- phase devices with reversing Forward running | reverse running
function, depending on the type. Easy control via a 24 V DC or a 230 V AC
signal. Locking circuit and load wiring
included.

CONTACTRON motor manager –
Protects motor and system

More than motor protection, the motor

manager also protects the system mechanics.
The motor manager detects critical load
statuses by permanent power measurement
and switches off the motor, if required.
The motor manager also optimizes the
maintenance and provides support during
startup.

How does the CONTACTRON motor

manager protect the system?

The motor manager detects all critical load
statuses by measuring the effective power of
the motor. If required, it switches off the drive
to protect the motor and your valuable system.
A cos relay only records underload statuses
and a motor protection relay only records
Pmot overload statuses.

Motor manager
The CONTACTRON motor manager EMM protects motor and system
from critical overload and underload statuses.
• Optional: PROFIBUS gateway for connecting up to 32 EMM via
T-BUS connector
• With or without internal current transformer
• Permanent active power measurement
• Operating data and energy consumption acquisition
• Parameterization using software (FDT/DTM)
