Title of the Activity: SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY

Description of the Activity Outcomes

The show and tell activity was conducted in class for
grade 3 students. Each student was asked to bring an
item from home that they wanted to share with their
classmates. On the day of the activity, students took
turns standing in front of the class and presenting
their item. They described the item, explained why it
was important to them, and shared any interesting
facts or stories related to it. The rest of the class
listened attentively and asked questions if they had
any. This activity encouraged students to practice
their speaking and listening skills, as well as their
ability to express themselves and share personal
experiences. It also fostered a sense of community
and allowed students to learn from each other's
interests and perspectives. The show and tell activity
provided an opportunity for students to build
confidence, improve communication skills, and
develop a deeper connection with their classmates.
The show and tell activity conducted for students of
grade 3 has several learning outcomes and helps
develop various skills. Here are some of them:
1. Communication skills: During the activity,
students practice their speaking and listening skills.
They learn how to effectively communicate their
thoughts, ideas, and experiences to their classmates.
They also develop their ability to listen attentively and
ask relevant questions.
2. Confidence building: Standing in front of the class
and presenting their item helps students build
confidence. They learn to overcome stage fright, speak
in front of an audience, and express themselves with
clarity and conviction.
3. Language development: The activity promotes
language development as students use vocabulary,
sentence structure, and descriptive language to
describe their item. They also learn to articulate their
thoughts and ideas in a coherent manner.
4. Research skills: Prior to the activity, students may
need to research and gather information about their
chosen item. This helps them develop research skills,
learn how to find reliable information, and present
accurate facts to their classmates.
5. Active listening and empathy: During the show
and tell activity, students practice active listening as
they listen to their classmates' presentations. They
learn to show interest, ask questions, and empathize
with their peers' experiences and perspectives.
