Courses dropbox, typed and spellchecked, by the end of Week 2, or by midnight, on
Sunday, January 28, 2024.

2. Describe your specific, focused topic in a few sentences:

3. Research question(s): What exactly do you hope to find out through your
research, which has not already been established by other researchers? (Remember
that research questions are “big picture” how, or why questions that must be answerable with
data, not simple yes/no questions or personal judgements.)

4. KEYWORDS: what are the most important professional terms, phrases, and
words that describe your topic and will help you in your search for sources?
(These are the words that you will actually enter into a search engine to help you find source
articles).

5. Hypothesis (optional): What do you hope or expect will be the ANSWER to

your questions?

6. Purpose/relevance: Why is this project important right now? Which situation,

product or service can be improved by the results of your project? Is there a
problem that your data can help solve? Who is the specific audience for this
paper (who would be helped by your paper and interested in knowing the
results?)

7. Background: What led you personally to be interested in this topic? Do you have
personal experience or opinion on the topic? What do you already know about
this topic from previous courses/experience? One paragraph only.
