Models and methods of translation of literary texts

in the contemporary humanitarian research paradigm (review)

This article describes controversial issues related to both fundamental

problems of translation studies and practical aspects. The author cites as an
example the “Cases” of D. Kharms and translations of his fragments into Korean.
This article is interesting. I agree up to a point, but this article focus on problems of
translation, presents the role of modeling situation and suggests transcreation
approach to translation in English translation. However, target audiences are
students and teachers of English or English translators. We see that even a
linguistic approach to the study of translation is not enough, in particular for an
artistic text. The importance of this article is that it shows the role of cultural or
transcreation translations for literary texts where it is necessary to convey the
atmosphere and other cultural aspects. This article notes the opinions of scientific
critics. It should be noted that although the linguistic approach is one of the
principles of translation, many scientists criticized it because it was not enough.
Thus, when translating literary texts, it is necessary to use a cognitive approach
with models.
