Dr. Fernando de Sousa Rocha

Middlebury College Professor

Dear Dr Sousa Rocha,

I am writing to express my interest in being considered for the Teaching Assistant vacancy at

the Middlebury College in Vermont, USA for the 2020-2021 academic year.

I’ve maintained an exclusive dedication to teaching the Portuguese langauge for the last 10

years, which gives me an extensive work experience with interdisciplinary groups of all ages. I

am currently working as a Portuguese Teacher for the Plurilingual school program for the City of

Buenos Aires and also dictating Portuguese courses for the city program ‘Lenguas en los

Barrios’ (Language in the neighborhoods). I am also teaching Portuguese language and culture

for the Insitutos de Formación Técnica N° 6 y 20 (Technical Institutes focused on tourism), all

of them under the Ciudad de Buenos Aires management.

My credentials are summarized on my CV, which I’m also attaching for better reference. As you

will see, I’ve graduated as a Portuguese Teacher in 2013 from the Instituto de Educación

Superior Lenguas Vivas “Juan Ramón Fernández”. I’ve also completed a Post-Title in Technical

Specialization in Conference Intrepreting in 2018, dictated by the same institution.

In 2019 I started the Master in Language Management at the National University of Tres de

Febrero. Currently going through my second and final year of the Master.

Thank you very much for your time, I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Manuela Sol González.
