EMBRACING THE WORLD OF TEACHING INTERNSHIP

Teachers have the presence and authority in conventional classes to modify the
environment to be as favorable to learning as feasible. In a single action, closing the
classroom door to eliminate outside noise eliminates the disturbance of all kinds.

My Aims/ Purposes

At the end of the activity, I should be able to:

a. prepare all requisites for my first teaching;

b. demonstrate a very satisfactory teaching performance, and
c. develop positive views and conviction in every teaching performance.

My Responsibilities

Embracing the world of teaching requires a daily dose of vitamin C’s for teachers
such as Courage, Confidence, Competence, Commitment, and Compassion. Each
day you must brace yourself with courage and confidence to face the public
(students/learners, colleagues, administrators, and others). Along with your initial
vitamin C's, it is expected that you know how to exude competence and execute
commitment and compassion in every endeavor you take. This means embracing a
holistic, dynamic, unique YOU in the world of different strokes, different folks.

As a teacher intern, I should:

a. write lesson plans and prepare instructional materials.

b. attend classes on time.
c. conduct/implement the prepared lesson plan.
d. assess my teaching performance.
e. be kind to everyone.

My Observations (Reflections and Insights)

1. What are your expectations for your Teaching Internship in this New Normal?

I anticipate adjusting to a hybrid or blended learning environment as a teaching intern in the new
normal, utilizing technology skillfully to provide interesting classes both in-person and virtually. Provide kids
with a supportive environment and prioritize their health and safety by adhering to procedures. Working
together, being adaptable, and being receptive to new teaching strategies are all important. Engage in
professional development activities, seek out feedback, and keep up with new developments in the field. Take
use of the chances and difficulties that come with the new educational norm.

2. As a would-be/pre-service teacher, how did you feel while going through your final
experiential learning course (Teaching Internship)?

I never imagined that I would be able to maintain the pace of my undergraduate career, yet everything in life seems
to fall into place. As a prospective or preservice teacher, I'm anxious not because I have to interact with and develop
a rapport with my pupils, but rather because I don't have the knowledge to meet their needs. As I begin my teaching
internship, I realize that my weakness is not in arithmetic, despite my final experience learning being a mixture of
enthusiasm and dread.

approaches, actively pursue professional development opportunities, and reflect on my motivations and
resilience in order to prepare for my teaching internship.

6. How did you respond or get through with those challenges?

In order to navigate the challenges encountered during my internship, I actively seek

guidance and feedback from my cooperating teacher, collaborating with experienced
educators to address any uncertainties about my lesson plans. To proactively manage the
classroom, I implement effective strategies such as setting clear expectations and seeking advice
from my peers and mentors. In addressing my personal anxiety, I practice relaxation techniques
and ensure thorough preparation. Seeking support from my cooperating teacher and fellow
interns offers valuable insights, while engaging in reflective practices helps me identify areas for
improvement. Ultimately, I embrace a growth mindset, viewing challenges as opportunities for my
personal growth and development as a teacher

7. Who/what was your motivation during your first teaching?

Seeing the students’ eagerness to learn and grow, coupled with my love of education and desire to have a
positive influence on their lives, served as my inspiration for my first teaching experience as a teaching
intern. In addition, the direction and encouragement provided by seasoned instructors, mentors, and peers
acted as a stimulant, igniting my desire to keep improving and innovating as a teacher. Ultimately,
throughout my first year of teaching, the ultimate goal of molding young minds and preparing them for
their future inspired me and gave me a strong sense of purpose.

8. What is your current perspective towards teaching?

I approach education with a perspective that combines excitement, curiosity, and a strong desire to
have a positive impact. I see teaching as a dynamic, transforming vocation that goes beyond simple
knowledge transfer. It offers a chance to create a supportive and welcoming learning environment where
students are encouraged to experiment, ask questions, and grow. Adopting a student-centered
approach, I place a high emphasis on meeting each student's unique needs and various learning styles. I
am passionate in utilizing cutting edge teaching strategies, incorporating technology, and encouraging
creativity and critical thinking. Working together with colleagues, actively pursuing professional
development, and participating in reflective practices are essential elements of my viewpoint, as I
continuously work to improve my abilities and adjust to the changing needs of my pupils.
