DELIVERY OF QUALITY BASIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM; AND

EVERY YEAR.
❖ IT IS A CAUSE AND ADVOCACY THAT PROMOTES
TIME, TALENT, AND RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AS
WELL AS HONESTY IN ALL DEALINGS, MEETING
COMMITMENTS, AND PERSONAL LIFE GOALS

Why is Time Consciousness important?


IN ITS NUANCED ATTEMPTS TO PROVIDE AN ACCOUNT OF
THE FORM OF INTENTIONALITY PRESUPPOSED BY ALL
EXPERIENCE, THE PHENOMENOLOGY OF TIME-
CONSCIOUSNESS PROVIDES IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTIONS
TO PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUES SUCH AS PERCEPTION,
MEMORY, EXPECTATION, IMAGINATION, HABITUATION,
SELF-AWARENESS, AND SELF-IDENTITY OVER TIME.

GOAL:

TO ADOPT, RESPOND, AND EXPAND THE RECOGNITION


OF PUNCTUALITY AND HONESTY AS TWO CORE VALUES
IN PROMOTING, PRACTICING AND SUSTAINING THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT FOR HOLISTIC
DEVELOPMENT OF FILIPINOS.

RATIONALE:
THE ADVOCACY FOR TIME CONSCIOUSNESS AND HONESTY IS A SIGNIFICANT CAMPAIGN
FOR THE CORE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALS. IF EVERYONE IS PUNCTUAL AND HONEST
THERE WILL BE A CONCOMITANT VALUING FOR SELF-RESPECT AND FOR RESPECTING OTHER
TIME. THESE VALUES CANNOT BE TAUGHT BUT THEY CAN BE CAUGHT BY SIMPLY MODELING
THE PRACTICE AND MAKING IT HABIT. THE 1987 PHILIPPINE CONSTITUTION PROMOTES THE
FILIPINO VALUES OF TRUTH, JUSTICE, FREEDOM, LOVE, EQUALITY, AND PEACE, PROMOTION
OF THE COMMON GOOD AND BUILDING A JUST AND HUMANE SOCIETY. IT ALSO MANDATES
THE STATE TO MAINTAIN HONESTY AND INTEGRITY IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE. THE PRESIDENTIAL
PROCLAMATION NO. 1782 ESPOUSES THE NEED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF VALUES
FORMATION IN BUILDING WHOLESOME PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER AMONG FILIPINOS,
ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG: DEVELOPMENT EXPERTS AND VALUE EDUCATION ARE IN AGREEMENT
THAT THE PRACTICE OF HONESTY AND PUNCTUALITY WILL SIGNIFICANTLY CONTRIBUTE TO THE
ATTAINMENT OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS. HENCE, THE GOVERNMENT IS CURRENTLY
PURSUING A MORAL RENEWAL PROGRAM PREMISED ON ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CORRUPTION
AND PROMPT DELIVERY OF BASIC SERVICES.
