In this course, 30% of the assessments will NOT occur prior to the date for withdrawing without academic
penalty. Please consult with your professor.
This course will be conducted face-to-face through weekly learning sessions. The learning content will be
provided via Brightspace. Students will require high-speed internet, a computer with a built-in or external
web camera and microphone, and Google Chrome or Firefox as a web browser. If your computer does not
have a built-in webcam or microphone, you must purchase one at your own expense.

Testing
The tests for the course will be held in person through your computer. Respondus Monitor and Lockdown
Browser will be used to proctor the tests and require the use of a laptop or Ipad, a built-in or external
web camera and microphone. Students will not be able to take tests on a mobile device. Students will
need to follow provided instructions prior to the test in order to download the required software. Students
should also check prior to any test if the software requires any updates. Please refer to the Testing Policy
in the course outline for additional information regarding the online testing policy.
Assignment Policy:
All assignments are due as specified in the following outline, by the start of class. All assignments and
due dates are listed in the following outline. As students are provided multiple days to complete and
submit the online assignments at their own convenience, no extensions or late submissions will be
accepted without prior arrangements made with the professor for the course and agreed to in writing a
minimum of 48 hours in advance of the original due date (notwithstanding extenuating circumstances).
Any assignment found to be plagiarized will receive a grade of “0” and may not be repeated. The student
will be referred to the Associate Dean for the School of Dental Health. Please refer to GBC policy regarding
academic integrity.
Email Communications
A response to email inquiries is typically provided within 24 hours of being sent on a school/business
day and during normal business hours. Any email sent after hours or on the weekend is typically
responded to the next school/business day.
