DESCRIPTION designed to provide participants with the essential
knowledge and skills required for safe and efficient
operations on drilling rigs. This two-day course covers a
wide range of topics, including rig safety, procedures, well
control, environmental awareness, and the roles and
responsibilities of personnel on drilling rigs. Successful
completion of the course leads to the attainment of the Rig
Pass certification, recognized globally by the International
Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
COURSE  Understand the importance of rig safety and the hazards
OBJECTIVES associated with drilling operations.
 Recognize and mitigate potential risks through effective
hazard identification and control measures.
 Demonstrate knowledge of well control principles and
procedures to prevent and respond to well control
incidents.
 Comprehend the environmental considerations in drilling
operations and the measures to protect natural resources.
 Familiarize with the roles and responsibilities of personnel
on drilling rigs and the importance of effective
communication and coordination.
PROPOSED Virtual Classroom Sessions:
DELIVERY/  Utilize video conferencing platforms such as Zoom,
TRAINING Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet to conduct live virtual
METHODOLOGY classroom sessions.
 Instructor-led presentations: Experienced trainers will
deliver informative presentations covering various aspects
of onshore operations and safety practices.
 Interactive discussions: Engage participants through real-
time discussions, Q&A sessions, and polls to promote
active learning and participation.

Virtual Demonstrations and Simulations:

 Virtual laboratory simulations: Offer virtual simulations to
demonstrate equipment handling, emergency response
procedures, and health and hygiene practices.
 3D animations: Use 3D animations to illustrate complex
concepts such as equipment operation, environmental
protection measures, and emergency scenarios for
enhanced visualization.

Collaborative Learning Activities:

 Group projects: Assign collaborative projects or case
