Trouble shooting items (1): Port Used

 Message:
"FATAL:java.net.BindException: Address in use: JVM_Bind”
 Meaning:
A problem with the connection to the internet HTTP port of the machine. In
fact, Tomcat by default tries to connect to the HTTP port 80 (standard HTTP
port). If another software (probably another HTTP server) is already
connected to this port, the error appears because Tomcat can't connect to it.
 Solution:
To change the port of AirN@v :
– Edit the file Program files / AirNav / tomcat / conf / server.xml.
– Find the character string "<Parameter name="port" value="80"/>"
(beware, it may appear several strings "<Parameter name="port"" but

only one string "<Parameter name="port" value="80"/>")

– Change the "value" to an unused port number. e.g.: "<Parameter
name="port" value="8080"/>”
– Then re-launch AirN@v and the address to be typed in the browser will
be: http://localhost:[new port number]/awn e.g.: http://localhost:8080/awn

Trouble shooting items (2): JAVA errors

 Message:
<<Administration Error: FATAL ERROR:Exception while initializing
Servlet>>
 Meaning:
After investigation it appears that the customer was working with
another JRE Version (JRE v1.4, v1.2) instead of the JRE1.3 (last
delivered with AirN@v).
 Solution:
We advise you to reinstall JRE v1.3 (thus becoming the "current"
JRE and eventually uninstall other versions of JAVA), and then to

reinstall AirN@v.
The version used should then be correct.

Trouble shooting items (3): Customer names

 Anomaly:
My customer name does not appear in the log-on screen
 Meaning:
The [Customer].cid has not been loaded on the hard disk
(new DVD received after first installation..)
 Solution:
Copy the [customer].cid file(s) from the DVD to the hard disk
directory:
Program files / airnav / tomcat / webapps / awn / web-inf / lic /
