1.1 Basic Concepts

 NCE is an innovative network cloud engine developed by Huawei. Positioned as the brain of future cloud-based networks,
NCE integrates functions such as network management, service control, and network analysis. It is the core enabling
system for network resource pooling, network connection automation and self-optimization, and O&M automation.
 EasySuite is a green web-based engineering tool provided by Huawei. It covers complex engineering scenarios such as
planning, installation, and migration. The planning and design can be performed offline. During project deployment, you can
directly select this task to perform installation. Using EasySuite to create an NCE installation project simplifies installation
and deployment operations and improves efficiency.

• On-premises: Huawei engineers install the hardware, virtualization environment (not required during physical machine deployment), OS, database, and NCE software
in an E2E manner. The installation takes less than 3 hours.
• Private cloud (OS+product): After the customer configures the virtualization environment, Huawei engineers create VMs, install the OS, database, and NCE software.
The installation takes about 3.5 hours.
• Private cloud (product only): After customers configure OS, Huawei engineers install the database and NCE software. The installation takes about 2 hours.

1.2 Deployment Scenarios
NCE is deployed in B/S mode. VMs or physical machines are used as servers. After the OS is installed on each VM or
physical machine, install the database and NCE service software. Then, users can easily access NCE through a
browser without installing traditional clients.

3.1 NCE Planning Principles — Networking Scheme
To improve network security and balance traffic on service interfaces, NCE divides the network into multiple isolated network planes,
such as the management network and service network (including northbound network and southbound network).

4.3 Installing NCE — Perform a Pre-check
After setting the parameters on the LLD page of EasySuite, click Next in the lower right
corner to perform the pre-check.
• The pre-check consists of software
package check, offline check, and
online check.
• If the check fails, the system
displays a failure message. After
modifying the information according
to the message, you need to
perform the check again and
proceed with the installation only
after the check is passed.

Procedure: Check software packages > Check parameters in offline mode > Check
parameters in online mode > Install and deploy the product

4.3 Installing NCE — Perform One-Click Installation

After the pre-installation check is passed, you can start EasySuite for installation and deployment. EasySuite logs in to the
environment based on the data on the Admission Settings tab page and automatically installs NCE based on the planned values on
the LLD page. The procedure for one-click
installation is as follows:
1. Configure hardware, including
configuring RAID and hardware alarm
reporting parameters.
2. Install and configure the OS.
3. Install the NCE software (including
the database).

• During the installation, you can view the installation progress and real-time installation logs to monitor the progress and
locate possible problems in time.
• If the installation is interrupted due to incorrect data planning, locate the fault based on logs. After the fault is rectified, the
EaySuite resumable installation capability helps to continue the installation from the interruption.
