Dilasag, Aurora

Dear Sir/Ma’am

We would like to inform your good office that we 4 th year Civil Engineering students will be
conducting a research study regarding the Structural Performance Assessment of Dilasag Municipal
Hall by Pushover Analysis, in partial fulfilment of our requirements for Civil Engineering Project II
Subject in Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Second Semester of Academic Year 2023-
2024.
Regarding this, we sincerely ask to interview personnel from the Engineering Office and obtain
an as-built plan of the Municipal Hall or any other building that utilized an outdated NSCP. These will be
the primary subjects of this study, and the structure will be examined to gather all the information
required for us to assess the impact of seismic waves.
We ensure that the plan we obtain will only be used for this study, and we guarantee that any data
collected will be used for its intended purpose. Your kind consideration will be highly appreciated.

Respectfully Yours,

ABSTRACT

According to the seismic map on the NSCP 2015, Dilasag Municipal Hall is located in

seismic Zone 4, considered an essential structure, and is situated near to a fault line and seashore.

The old masonry municipal hall that was built in accordance with outdated structural regulations,

which had a substantial impact on earthquake design. Considering to the unpredictability of

seismic activity, existing structures must be assessed and analyzed. This kind of assessment can

be done by looking at the structure's performance. Pushover analysis, a performance-based

seismic design method, will be applied to assess the structure's performance.

Based on the acquired as-built plan, the Dilasag Municipal Hall will be examined and

modelled in midas Gen 2022 in this study. The condition of the structure, the structural

performance level resulting from post-earthquake damage and after the structure is subjected to

tsunami load, and whether the beam and column have high ductility and the structure performs

well will all be determined using the capacity curve and the performance point.
