NOTIFICATION
(MID SEM EXAM.-Il)

The schedule of Mid Semester Exam-II for Even Semester of Academic Session 2023-24 in
offline mode is hereby notified in accordance with the Academic Calendar Notification No. Acad./2023/1235
dated 07.08.2023.
The Mid Semester Exam-II for Even Semester of all the UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes will be
conducted in offline mode during 10.04.2024 (Wednesday), 12.04.2024 (Friday) & 13.04.2024 (Saturday).

(A) Mid Sem Exam Duration & Slots

The respective course coordinator may schedule the exam within the time slot allotted as above and
complete all the process of exam within the time slot. The course coordinator may schedule Mid Semester
Exam on any other date in case of unforeseen situation with intimation to the examinee concerned by
email or mobile communication.
(B) Invigiiation/Supervision duties for Offline Exam
Faculty members teaching the course may be assigned duties for Mid Sem Exam
conductlinvigilation/supervision etc for these examinations by the respective course coordinators in
consultation with the respective HoDs. However, if any department does not have sufficient faculty, the
Head of concerned department may take the help of other faculty (Regular and others) from other
departments.
(C) Sessional Improvement of courses under old & new scheme of UG & PG programmes
The respective course coordinator of the courses of old scheme will also conduct the Mid Sem Exam
(Sessional Improvement) for the students having re-appear in the sessional of the even and odd semester
courses UG & PG programmes which are not being offered in respective semesters, as per scheme and
syllabus applicable for them.
As decided by the Senate in its 50th Meeting held on 25-07-2023 vide Agenda Item l\lo. -S 50.05 and
subsequent approval of the Chairman Senate on dated 31-08-2023, the conduct of examinations of
courses of even and odd semester together in every semester is discontinued for B.Tech. programmes for
the BTech.-2023 batch onwards.
The odd semester re-appear examinations for students of BTech 1st semester onwards from AY 2023-24
will be held in odd semesters and even semester reappear examinations will be held in even semester.
The students admitted prior to AY 2023-24 and not repeating 1st semester onwards from AY 2023-24 will
have an option of appearing in re-appear examinations of odd semester courses in even semester and
vice versa.

The cut list for re-appear examinees (old and new scheme) will be sent to the respective HoDs/School
Coordinators by Email on or before 09-04-2024.

(i) As approved by the Senate in its 40th Meeting, the schedule of Mid Semester Exam-II (Sessional Improvements) for courses under old scheme and syllabi of all UG & PG programmes will be decided by the respective
HoDsl School Co-ordinators and the same will be uploaded on the institute website for information to all the stakeholders.
(ii) Mid Semester Exam for Lab/Seminar will be conducted in the regular classes in the respective week.
(iii) As decided by the Senate in its 50 th Meeting held on 25-07-2023 vide Agenda Item No.-S 50.05 and subsequent approval of the Chairman Senate on dated 31·08-2023, the conduct of examinations of courses of even
