Survey Report:

The survey conducted at Daulatpur High School (Co-Ed) revealed that the school
accommodates a total of 261 students, comprising 142 male and 119 female students. Among
the 5 teaching staff members, 4 are male and 1 is female, while there is 1 non-teaching staff
member (Group-D) present, with no Group-C staff. The school has 11 classrooms but faces a
significant disparity in the teacher-student ratio, currently standing at approximately 1:53, far
exceeding the recommended guideline of 1:30 as stipulated by the RTE Act 2009. Although
the school possesses a computer laboratory, it lacks other essential facilities such as
specialized laboratories and a dedicated librarian for the lone library, which is currently
managed by the school's teaching staff. Despite these shortcomings, the school utilizes proper
learning equipment such as charts and maps and actively organizes cultural programs and co-
curricular activities to foster the holistic development of its students. Furthermore, the school
demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity by ensuring the enrollment of students from
marginalized groups, adhering to reservation policies during admissions, and providing mid-
day meals to children. Additionally, the school prioritizes the inclusion of children with
disabilities.

In conclusion, while the school exhibits efforts toward implementing aspects of the RTE Act,
there exist notable shortcomings, particularly regarding the teacher-student ratio and the
absence of certain essential facilities. Addressing these issues is crucial for ensuring the
effective implementation of the RTE Act, and it is recommended that relevant authorities
monitor and address these discrepancies accordingly.
