To begin with, my reflection, let us begin first on what is the meaning of

recollection. Recollection is a spiritual gathering wherein we feel the presence of

God. As a student who graduated from a Catholic School, this is not new to me
because we had recollections every school year. Now that I’m a freshman in a
Catholic School, we had a recollection beginning with what word comes into your
mind when you see the word Recollection, my classmates started to raise their
hands as they say their opinions. I have started wondering what really comes into
my mind when I hear the word Recollection. The only thing that came into my
mind is when you share your thoughts and feelings with everyone, including God.
We did some activities about Talents and reading about the Parable of Talents. I
realized one thing, when you work hard you will gain trust, and achieve what you
want in life. The first activity that we did was about our talents and weaknesses.
The ones my classmates shared brought tears to my eyes because some of their
weaknesses had an impact on my heart. I wrote about my talents mainly painting,
singing, and memorization. The one I am most confident about is painting which I
love to do up until now. My weakness is that I’m always anxious, expecting myself
to be the best that I could, and when I failed to do that, I find myself bawling in
my room affecting my whole day. When I’ve written this, I realized that the
talents that I have can help the things I wrote in my weaknesses, despite all the
things that weaken me, there is God who never left my side and myself who can
always improve. The last one sums up the activities that we did when abilities are
disregarded when we don’t have the courage to work hard and, God will always
be above anything as we give ourselves to Him.
