Responsible

#1: DELIVER ON YOUR PROMISES

Under-promise and over-deliver
A good way to respond to your boss is to ask for a deadline. They will ask you when you can get it
done. Apply the advice above (if you only need one day ask for two days).
Failing to do so will mean your reputation gets affected.

#2: REMAIN AT YOUR POST

Harry Truman came in as president during WW2 after FDR passed away. Truman told the reporters to
pray. The sign ‘The buck stops here’ was placed in Truman’s office, to convey the message to not pass
the blame for any mistakes any further.
Taking ownership means remaining at your post, whatever that may be. Timothy has proved… (means
that Timothy has completed the task at hand many times).
Instead of pushing the blame, help them and take it as your problem.

#3: CARE FOR OTHER PEOPLE

Paul is saying Timothy works hard, also because Timothy sincerely cares about the people.
You can do it for yourself or do it for others. (View your labor of responsibility as obligation or love).
People doing things out of obligation tend to be selfish and judgmental; this doesn’t allow them to
interact well with others.
However, people doing things out of love tend to be the opposite.
