Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and use the vocabulary for

Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” and learn new body vocabulary.

Introduction: PPT 1 (10 minutes):

using PPT 1 and ask children to touch/point to their body parts.

Song "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" song (10 minutes):

Play the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" on youtube and encourage the children to stand
up and follow along with the actions.

filling in the gaps.

Game "Simon Says" (5/10 minutes):

1. Play a game of "Simon Says" using the body parts vocabulary. For example, say, "Simon
says, touch your head!" and the students must touch their heads.
2. Gradually increase the difficulty by using combinations of body parts or adding simple
movements: “Simon says touch your head, knees, toes, mouth” …etc, depending on how
many body parts the students remember.

Worksheet 2 (5 minutes):

1. Distribute a sheet with a simple outline of a person's body to each student and ask the
students to the different body parts (head, shoulders, knees, and toes, etc.). To review
colours, ask students to colour each body part in a different colour, e.g., “Colour the knees
pink, colour the shoulders blue, etc.) Provide assistance as needed, reinforcing the
vocabulary.
Review and Closure (5 minutes):

1. Review the vocabulary by singing the “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” song one more
time encouraging students to sing along. Ask students to point to the body part during the
song, creating a fun and interactive review.
