3.3.1 Preface
The Mobile radio is programmed by using a personal computer, programming interface (provided by ABELL)
and programming software (ABELL A-M30 programming software). Chart 1 shows how the devices work.

1) Connect the A-M30 to the personal computer with the interface cable.
2) Operate A-M30 programming software.
3) Set the communication interface
4) Operate the programming to the mobile radio
5) When data is transmitting from the transceiver the red LED lights.
When data is receiving by the transceiver, the LED lights green.
Notes:
·The data stored in the personal computer must match the Model Name when it is written into the EEPROM.
Run the software and connect the transceiver with the personal computer, and then turn ON.

Programming with PC
If data is transferred to the transceiver from a personal computer with software provide by ABELL, the
destination data (basic radio information) for each set can be modified. Normally, it is not necessary to modify
the destination data because their values are determined automatically when the frequency range (frequency
type) is set. The values should be modified only if necessary.

The receiving part adopt the double-conversion super heterodyne, the first intermediate frequency is
51.65MHz, the second intermediate frequency is 450KHz, the first local oscillation signal provided by the
PLL circuit.
Transmitting part directly produce the desired frequency by the PLL circuit, figure 1 shows the whole
schematic block diagram.
The receiving part adopt the double-conversion superheterodyn, the designed operating range is 400-
470MHz.
The signal received form the antenna into the low-pass filter and receiving/transmitting change-over
switch diode circuit(D200 and D308 disconnect), through the second LC band-pass filter filter out the
unwanted signal and radio frequency overload protect diode(312), then amplify the signal in the radio
frequency amplifier (Q301), after signal was amplified(Q301), then through the third LC band-pass filter
filter out the unwanted signal, choose the useful signal into the first mixer(Q300).
Because the work bandwidth of LC band-pass filter was limited, adjust the diodes capacitance
(D300-D306) achieve the required bandwidth, controlled the voltage by AFC automatic frequency, AFC
voltage is controlled by the microprocessor center frequency (figure 2).

The signal from Radio Frequency and the fist local oscillator signal from the phase-locked loop
frequency synthesizer circuit mixed in the first mixer (Q300) generate 51.65MHz the first intermediate
frequency signal, then eliminate clutter signal from the adjacent by the two pcs crystal filter.
The first intermediate frequency amplified by the first mixer(Q303), then inter to FM processing
chip(chip U300), signal mixed into 450KHz the second intermediate frequency signal between U300 and
the second local oscillator signal, before the second intermediate frequency signal be amplified and
frequency discriminator, filter out unwanted cluttering signal by a 450KHz crystal filter.
Audio signal from the frequency discrimination in U300 go through high-pass-filter U402(A,B),then
deemphasis by U402(C), U402(D) low pass filter, audio signal which is by filtering through the volume
control circuit, then amplified by the audio frequency U501, drive the speaker.
Part of the output audio signal from U300 9 enter to U300 again, by filter and amplifier amplify and
integrate the noise to become a corresponding with the DC Voltage of the noise level, The DC
signal enter to the microprocessor A/D Ports, U4 decide whether drive the speaker to output voice
by test the input voltage ,output the voice from the speaker, microprocessor(U4) transmit a high
level signal to AF_M control ligature and transmit a low level signal to NF_M control ligature by
Q403. stop Q502, audio signal enter to audio power amplifier(Figure 3).

Phase locking circuit generate by use to receive the first vibration signal and use to transmit radio
frequency carrier signal.
The step frequency of phase locking is 5 or 6.25KHz , step frequency in phase locking is 5 or
6.25KHz。12.8MHz reference oscillator signal through a mixed counter divide into 5 or 6.258KHz reference
frequency in phase locking(U100), the signal from VCO amplified by buffer amplifier(Q106), then frequency
demultiplication by programmable impulse divide counter in phase locking(U100), the fractional frequency
signal be compared in phase locking with 5 or 6.25KHz reference signal phase comparator. The signals
from the phase comparator enter into a low pass filter; control the oscillation frequency by the voltage
control oscillator (figure 4).

(4) TONE Voice, DTMF Coding.
The high-speed data produced and outputted from microprocessor (U4), signal through CR low pass
filter. A part of digit signal from C406, R437 output to U400 (A), into the VCO modulation, the other part
of digit signal from R508, C504 input to audio power amplifier U501 drive the speaker. Tone voice and
DTMF Frequency offset adjust by the microprocessor (U4) output (Figure6).

(6) Antenna change switch and LPF.
Before the RF arrive at the antenna terminal, RF amplifier output signal through a low pass filter filter
off harmonic wave and a transmitting/receiving switching circuit. this switching circuit made by
D200,D308, D200,D308 open (break over) in transmitting mode, closed (isolation)in receiving mode.
(7) Power control
Power control circuit, stabilize the transmission output power through detect the enlarge the module
transmission and reflect signals. Voltage comparator circuits, U201 use the microprocessor setted
compare with the module transmission and reflect signals, detect wave obtained wave. Proportional to
the difference between the automatic power control voltage and U201 output detection voltage and the
reference voltage. This output voltage control the power modulation, keep the transmitting power
inalter. Transmitting output power can changed by the microprocessor, change the reference voltage in
microprocessor to control the power modulation output power.

1. Require it can inter-eliminate with the main stream product in this fields, DQT use launch 134.4Hz
CTCSS 200ms to eliminate the tail tone, handle with phase displacement, CTCSS eliminate the
tail tone by 180°reversal phase signal, sending time is 150ms,
Eliminate by digit coding when there is no CTCSS, sending time is 250 ms.
Bandwidth:
The frequency difference of the adjacent two channels, for fear of the channel disturbance when
receiving signals, rule the channel space must be meet the specific requirement. Channel space divide
