darts) how to score. I knew the basics. If you hit a number you get that score, if
you in hit the outer ring in that same number you get double that number and if
you hit the inner ring it’s triple that number. The outer bullseye was worth 25 and the
bullseye being 50. I knew the basics but didn’t know how to score and play a game like the
professionals. You start on 501. You total the sum of your 3 darts and subtract that for 501. Then
another 3 darts and subtract that away from your current total. To win you have to be the first person to
‘check out’. You can only ‘check out’ by finishing on a double. I got my score down to 20. The quickest way to check
out was to hit double 10. My problem was I’m very inaccurate when hitting the double 10. Double 3 was my most accurate.
I thought about all the different number combinations I could hit to leave myself a 6 to hit a double 3 (my most accurate number).
There were many combinations I could have used. I decided to hit 7 with dart 1, 7 again with dart 2 and then hit the double 3 giving me
6. This meant I won the game as I checked out from 20. Although these were the numbers I hit there could have been many different number
combinations that would have allowed me to win and still check out with a double 3. (10,4, double 3) (9,5 double 3) (10,4 double 3)
