KSIF Scholarship Applications For First Half of 2024
The KSIF is pleased to offer KSI learners the opportunity to study at a prestigious Korean
university. The objective of this scholarship program is for students to become knowledgeable in
Korea’s language and culture and pursue their dreams. Please consider applying!

ㅇ To help outstanding KSI students pursue careers based on their proficiency in Korean by
funding degree acquisition at a university in Korea
- Mid- to long-term objective: to support the development of individuals capable of facilitating
diplomatic exchanges between their country of nationality and Korea
□ Scholarship term
ㅇ Degree program: spring 2024 semester (entry in March 2024)
ㅇ Language training: spring 2024 semester (entry in February to March 2024)

※ Applicants should meet all requirements stated below.
① Foreign nationals whose parents as well as themselves do not have Korean citizenship
② KSI learners or graduates (proof of attendance or KSI certificate required)
Category KSI completion criteria
Those who have completed Elementary Level 2B (Sejong Korean 4) or
Degree program above or have Korean language proficiency equivalent to TOPIK Level 3 or
above
Those who have completed Elementary Level 1B (Sejong Korean 2) or
Language training above or have Korean language proficiency equivalent to TOPIK Level 1 or
above
③ Those who meet the requirements of each university (Please refer to the guidelines for
applicants for each university.)
④ Beneficiaries of other scholarships offered by the Korean government, Korea-based universities,
and other institutions are not eligible.

Degree program: KSIs will collect learners’ application documents, convert them into PDF files,
and create one compressed file per applicant. The KSIF Scholarship Application Form will first be
submitted to the KSIF by Oct. 20 (Fri), 2023, 18:00. Selected recommendees will submit required
documents to the respective universities (via mail or in-person visit).
Language training: KSIs will collect learners’ application documents, convert them into PDF files,
and create one compressed file per applicant. The KSIF Scholarship Application Form and
documents required by universities must be submitted together by Nov. 17 (Fri), 2023, 18:00.
* Universities or the KSIF may ask an applicant to submit omitted documents or provide additional
verification.
※ Caution: If the applicant is not accepted due to failure to include one or more required
documents, responsibility lies with the applicant.
□ Caution
① You are responsible for all expenses in Korea not covered by the scholarship offered by your
school.
② Your name on the application forms should be identical to that on your passport.
③ The application forms and supporting documents should be prepared using A4-sized paper.
④ You are not allowed to apply for scholarships directly. Instead, you must submit your completed
applications and supporting documents to your KSI, and the KSI will then submit the documents to
the KSIF.
⑤ Your KSI graduation certificate should be issued by the KSI you are attending.
⑥ Before applying for scholarships, check the documents required for admission and eligibility in
the guidelines for applicants of each university.
⑦ Students who provide false information and who are unable to have a visa issued lawfully for
entry to Korea will be disqualified, even after being chosen as scholarship recipients.
⑧ In the case where a potential scholarship recipient is disqualified, the scholarship will be
awarded to a student who has been placed on the waiting list according to total scores.
⑨ Submitted documents are not returned and will be handled in accordance with the Personal
Information Protection Act.
⑩ If, for a particular reason (e.g. withdrawal, transfer to another university), the accepted student
must relinquish the scholarship, all provided funds must be returned within one month.
