Topic: Agriculture & Animal husbandry

Requirements: Scrapbook/ A4 size pages, glue, pen, pencil colours/crayons,etc

Procedure:
1) Write notes on Agriculture & Animal husbandry of Jammu & Kashmir( can include Ladakh)
2) Agriculture in J & K and Ladakh
The crops grown in J & K and Ladakh can include cash crops, food crops, plantation crops( tea,
coffee, etc.) or horticulture crops( fruits & vegetables).
Ex: apricots, apples, buckwheat, saffron, Rajma, walnuts, cherries, etc
The topics required:
● Native crops/ GMOs grown -include scientific name of species
● Season/ altitude where crops are grown
● Soil requirements
● Irrigation facilities
● Crop protection used
● Harvesting of crops
● Transportation( Farm to market)
● Yield & benefits
3) Animal husbandry in J & K and Ladakh
Ex: sheep, yak, goat, trout, carp etc
● Native/ hybrid species reared- include scientific name of species
● Care taken for the animals (place, season, etc)
● Nutritional requirements of the animal
● Protection from disease
● Yield / selling of the product of animal
4) Paste pictures of crops(fields/markets) & animals(sheds/farms) of J & K wherever required.
