This nine lecture series will be a welcome return to the music of Brahms by assessing
his supreme achievement and the radical and traditional tendencies to be found in his
finest works. Matthew will examine some of the symphonies, concertos and overtures,
as well as some of his finest chamber compositions and vocal works.
