A gerund is always singular, if we want to use them as


the subject, the sentence has to start with any of
them most of the time.
Reading books is one of my hobbies Doing yoga makes me feel relaxed
Studying English has helped me a lot Going shopping makes me happy
Cycling is a good sport Watching movies is a waste of time for
some people

• Consider • Delay • Deny • Keep • Continue
• Recommend • Suggest • Insist • Resist • Mention
I love spending my time with you She hated studying in that school
He imagined winning the lottery He delayed paying his telephone bill
We enjoyed going to the party My brother tries to avoid doing his homework
