Can we use simple presents to talk about the past or about the

future?

Well, we use, as its name says, simple present tense to talk about actions or events
that occur or take place in the present. Nevertheless, we can also use the simple
present for talking about the future, as long as it's for talking about something
scheduled or planned. Despite this, we can’t use the simple present to talk about the
past, or well, we can use it, but only when we want to make events sound as if they
are happening now.

My saturday routine:

Firstly, before all, I wake up at 8am.

Secondly, I brush my teeth and after that, I make the bed.
Thirdly, I take my breakfast and brush my teeth again.
Afterwards, I take a bath and put on my home clothes.
Then, I check my pending homeworks and do them.
Next to that, I decide if I will go out for a walk, and if not, I usually help with some
things at home.
Later, I usually have lunch between 12pm and 1pm
Frequently, after that, I watch some TV (series, movies, etc..), sometimes
accompanied, sometimes alone.
Sometimes, when I get bored of watching TV, I usually use that time to read, or to
see book recommendations on the internet, because that’s my hobby.
And then, I usually take my cell phone and practice English lessons to improve my
language skills.
Next, when I notice the day it’s almost finished, I think about what I would do the
next day.
Finally, I take a bath, put on my night suit, brush my teeth (while I watch some TV
hehe), and go to bed (late).
