LESSON 7 – SOULMAKING APPROPRIATION AND IMPROVATION

SOULMAKING – it is a form of creating stories or transforming short

moments into an image or symbols

it is an alternative for knowing ourselves and looking into

the depths and reality of what we are doing for our daily
life

CATEGORIES OF SOULMAKING :
1. Crafting image – refers to the act of imagining or presenting
something in any form

2. Crafting stories -the act of writing, engraving, criticizing, commenting

and creating stories

Stories can be presented such as object music, images and words

3. Crafting instruments – transforming objects into musical instruments,

allowing us to discover balance and harmony in order to produce
entertaining, enhancing and magical sound

4. Crafting movements - our life is full of movements; it is filled with

various beats. Life is full of flowing images accompanied by
narratives. Everything we do in life is a performance

5. Crafting techniques - anything can be crafting by using different

evocative descriptions of experiences and explorations like
photograph studies, puppets and masks, constructions and notepad
studies
