I will then go around and check if all my students are on track and getting started on their assessment.

Today we learned how to identify vocabulary using pictural clues and context clues.

I will ask the group what they observed about each card. After I have finished with that, I will put the
pictures away.
I will then pull out the vocabulary words and ask students to show me the gesture for the picture.

I will then send Ethan and Ulani to draw pictures of each word.
Yaman and Priyank will complete the cut and paste at the back table. This is so I am able to help them
read instructions or explain pictures.

While they complete their exit ticket, I will then check on Kyle and Ma’kaya. They were unable to meet
the objective the last time we worked on vocabulary words.

At the end of the lesson, I will state “today we were able to define vocabulary words with sentences using
contextual clues and picture clues.
I will then pull E work and S work and read them Allowed.
“This is E work because this sentence was created from the students’ original thoughts.
This is S work because this sentence was make using the text.”

If students need extra time they can receive it during indoor recess.
11:10 If students finish early, they will be asked to write a compound sentence with two or more words
correctly.
