Reflection paper: THE LOVE OF MOTHER by Fr. Benign P. Beltran, SVD

As the story started it tells how the way of living of a mother and his son which is
poor living. As the sons grew up, he met women that will push to him to do such
horrible thing that he shouldn’t done. It was titled “The love of mother”. According to
the story the sons stabbed her mother’s chest in order for him to cut its heart and
give it to the women he love, to prove his love for her.

It was about a love of a mother to his sons to the point that he let his sons cut her
heart because as a mother he thinks that it will make her sons happy. It proves that
the love of a parents cannot be measured. They show love in all ways, to the ways
that they know that it will make us happy even it is pain for them. As I grow up I
always have a fight with my mother because he always says to me what I should do
and says that it is good for me. As I grow up I didn’t think that my mother always
wanted the good things for me. I wonder why she doesn’t give up on me, why she
doesn’t stop telling what I need to do. After reading this story I realized that it was for
my own good. I realized that it is her way on showing her love and care for me.

The love of God was expressed through the love of mother, because he can do
everything for us, to make us feel his love and care for us like just what every mother
do. When I was a kid until now I believed that God sacrificed his own son to atone all
of our sins. That was his way of showing his love and care for all people in the world.
I know every mother can sacrifice everything for their child and that is how big the
love of a mother is.
