Phase 01

Excavation and shoring and demolishing existing chamber

1-buliding internal protective scaffold with plywood will be installed adjacent to the
internal side of Wall, its function is to protect the internal pipes in the chamber from
breaking parts during demolishing activities

2-start excavation works around the old drain chamber for NR/SR valves by using
excavator

3- The excavation works will be gradual; excavation is to be a depth of only one

meter and then broken the wall by hammer excavator and then the excavation is
continued to a depth of one meter each time and the wall is broken every time.

4-excavation area shall be covering the area around the old chamber and area
around the NR/SR main export pipes and excavation will be extend till almost half
the road of entrance to station

5- take in consideration all shoring and sloping activities combine with excavation
works and area near the police building at the west side to be suspending by
sheeting to prevent failure
Phase 02

NR and SR mechanical piping and valves works

SR line SD works /SOW

1-starting mechanical isolation works for SR export line

2-installing spades on MOV400/410 behind 2nd lift station as 1st steps of line export line isolation
3-closing the upstream line near new Shuaiba station /near the fuel gas station-high way Basra/2nd
steps of line export line isolation
4-open the west/east river cross 24-inch drain SR
5- near the old RAK yard chamber /open the flange and install big capacity vacuuming pumps to
remove all the residual water inside the pipe.
6-asper the dwg/ cut and remove the flange and 24-inch drain valve under the old chamber and
shifting to the east side and to be placing/ fabricated and weld in the new chamber asper the new
detailing drawing and the site condition
6-clean the exposed pipes mainline and drain and wrapped correctly again
7-all isolation/cutting/welding/fabrication activities to be start after full excavation/sloping and
shoring of area and fully demolishing of old chamber works
8- NDT and painting touch up for all welding joints in the plan

2-installing spades on MOV500/510 behind 2nd lift station as 1st steps of line export line isolation
3-closing the upstream line near new Shuaiba station /near the fuel gas station-high way Basra/2nd

5- near the old RAK yard chamber /open the flange and install big capacity vacuuming pumps to

Phase 03

new chamber construction and backfilling and road and paving repairs

1-after excavation completion with shoring and slopping

2-prepre the are for new chamber building works /chamber shall be included the new shifted drains
valves and including both main line NR/SR branches to the drain valves
3-chamber dimensions to be around 12m long-6meter wide-6m minimum depth -bottom of
chamber slab to be 50cm from the BOP of NR/SR
4-prepre chamber are by leveling in order to cast 15cm blinding concreate layer
5-prepre the foundation slab reinforcement concrete layer asper approve detail civil dwg.
6- cast concrete for base slab (30cm thick) /including the sump area and foundation pedestals for
suspending pipe support
7-civil works activities/prepare for wall reinforcement /frameworks/ carpentering works /water stop
laying /frameworks fixing by bolts/casting concrete for 1st phase of pour concreate
8-install scaffolding around the chamber in order to start 2nd phase on wall casting
9--civil works activities/prepare for wall reinforcement /frameworks/ carpentering works /for 2nd
phase /frameworks fixing by bolts/casting concrete for first phase of pour concreate (1st phase at
3meter and below depth and 2nd phase for the rest depth of chamber)
10-start removing all the farmwork around the chamber and removing all the connections bolts for
plywood
11-start repair and surface treatments work from outside and inside the chamber
12-beteomen paint and layering applied on the outer side of wall chamber.
13-start backfilling works around the chambers / each 1-meter layering with compaction works
14-all the prefabrication works shall be started and completed in the workshop.
15install the steel works related with chamber building / handrails/aggress access and valves
platforms/stairs cases and ladders asper the approved detailing dwg.
16-pavements repairing works to the main entrance road asper Roo spec.
