We are able to know the functions of the major internal parts of the human body.
I. INSTRUCTION:
Read the following text and highlight the key words.

The brain is responsible for our emotions, not the heart. However, we can feel the effects of our emotions on
the heart through our rising pulse rate. This is why we use lots of sayings about the heart e.g. – ‘our hearts
skip a beat’ or ‘our hearts race’ when we see our loved ones or are feeling scared.

Science tells us that we have billions of neurons (microscopic cells) in the brain that are
connected in a complicated and changing network.

The neurons in the part of the brain called the amygdala send information using
electrical and chemical signals to other neurons located throughout our body.
